Jagan to meet CRDA area farmers Vijayawada, Jan 16 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Opposition leader and YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would tour Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) area on January 19 to meet farmers and know about their issues. YSRCP MLA A. Ramakrishna Reddy informed the media here about Jagan's tour.
Ramakrishna alleged that the TD government was forcibly taking away agri-lands in the region in the name of building capital. He said that the government has acquired about 33,000 acres of land in the region till now through land pooling scheme despite resistance from land owners and farmers.
He said that the government was threatening the farmers who have opposed to part with their lands for the capital building and vowed that the YSRC would fight for the rights of farmers and other land owners.
Jagan would meet the landowners personally and would try to address their issues. The party will fight for farmers' rights, the YSRC MLA added.
