Game Over: Jail For Sasikala Here comes big blow for AIADMK's interim general secretary and CM nominee VK Sasikala. Supreme Court has announced its verdict on disproportionate assets case and revoked the judgement given by high court on May 11, 2015 acquitting Jayalalithaa, Sasikala and her two relatives.
Supreme Court has directed Sasikala to surrender immediately and asked her to serve the rest of her jail sentence of 3yrs and six months. With this judgement Sasikala will be debarred from contesting elections for 10 years and all her dreams to become Chief Minister got shattered.
In 2014 October a trial court had convicted Jayalalithaa and Sasikala and sentenced them each to four years in jail. Both spent a few months in jail before the Karnataka High Court overturned the trial court order acquitting them.
