Medwin, Unimed join hands Hyderabad, Oct 19 (INN): The Medwin Hospitals, in association with Unimed, has introduced an integrated approach to treatment bringing together Allopathy and the alternative systems of treatment viz., Ayurvedic, Yoga, Unani, Homoeopathy of AYUSH, all under one roof. This is a unique combination of treatment introduced for the first time in India.
Each system of medicine has certain strengths, so the collaborative activity is to synergize these strengths in the interest of patients.
To kick-start the activity the association held a three day free 'Hijama' (Cupping) camp from 18th October in the Medwin Hospitals premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Joint Advisor (Unani) Dr. Mohammad Asad Pasha said that such an effort would bring great results and would benefit the patients immensely.
Additional Director (Ayurvedic) AYUSH of Government of Telangana Dr. Guru Murthy described the efforts as first of kind and unique and offered total support of State Government.
Addl. Director (Unani) Mir Yousuf Ali said that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed AYUSH department to promote herbal medicine in the entire state as it is immensely valued by the villagers and the city dwellers alike.

Khan, General Secretary, Telangana Unani Medical Officers Association, Dr. Mohammad Minhajuddin Khan, also spoke on the occasion.
