One is uncorrupted physiological, pure,innocent state of the mind,another is that state of
mind which responds from the past,belief,dogma,race,
nationality,gender etc,so it is corrupt and pathological.
Physiological mind is needed for functioning sanely in the
world and relating with the others in a healthy way.
In Self-Enquiry we get rid of pathological state of mind
which amounts to gaining of physiological state of mind.
We don't lose mind in literal sense in Self-Enquiry or
Self realization.Physiological pure mind is nothing but a ray of
light of the Self.So pure mind and Self are one and the same
just as ray of Sun light and Sun are not different.Pure mind
(physiological mind) is given to us by the existence and
the pathological state of it i.e ego(conditioned mind) is given to us by the society in which we live.Getting rid of this pathological state by negating the conditioning imposed on us by the society is the aim of all spiritual practices.
So a real spiritual person is always a rebel because he rebels against the conditioning imposed by the society,so he is
always misunderstood by the corrupt society and many of them are punished by such society as in case of Socrates,
Jesus,Sarmad,Buddha to mention few.
