Operation 'Mother Tiger' failed Hyderabad, March 9 (INN): Operation 'Mother Tiger' failed in Nallamala Forest. The forest officers waited for the mother tiger all night. As the mother tiger did not come, the four rescued cubs were shifted to Atmakur by the forest department staff.
The four Tiger cubs were spotted in Pedda Gummadapuram of Kothapalli mandal in the Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh and rescued by locals. In this background, the officials conducted inspections in the forests located 2 kilometres away from Pedda Gummadapura. Officials identified and confirmed Tiger footprints in the area. A shepherd and a fruit trader said that the tiger was seen coming on the BT road to Sangameswaram near Musalimadugu village, one and a half kilometres away from Pedda Gummadapura.
On receiving the information, the officials of the forest department reached there and are trying to locate the tiger through its footprints. Rescued cubs are given milk, Cerelac, chicken and pieces of liver.
