| Good article Mohan garu.. Jaipal Reddy has a class. You have rightly presented him.
Our friends have freedom of expression. It is a pity that we often denounce the same people who protect our freedom for 60 years.

Posted by: ram gogineni At: 12, Apr 2007 5:37:32 AM IST What happens when decent men join politics? It is ridiculous to compare Mr. Jaipal Reddy with Maran or someone else. If one knows who Maran is and what his leverage at the Centre is, such comparisons don't arise. On the one hand we keep denouncing crude, self-centred and self-serving politicians but are ever ready to throw stones at one decent politician that we occasionally come across.
Mr. Mohan Reddy did well to highlight this rare political personality. That Mr.J.R. is ineffective in the political cacophony is well known. As they say we all deserve the politicians we elect.
Posted by: Dr. Rohiniprasad Kodavatiganti At: 8, Apr 2007 10:09:05 PM IST Well said Sparrow. One should denounce obsequious flattery and self- seeking. Jaipal Reddy stands for an unworthy use of intellect in Indian politics. Un-intentive ignorant is better than intentional intellectual. You know, now with whome he is hobnobbing? non other than yester years' 'Devil' Sonia. With the same mouth Jaipal Reddy called Sonia a demon. Now she has become angel. It is nothing but political bancruptcy AKA brain trade.

Your article is amazing and excellent. I think you are lucky to spend quality time with him in Delhi and you must be really fortunate to see him so closely in the car. I hope your article inspires a lot of people like me.
The last para touches my heart. If people do what they love and like, they will succeed and the country will progress - because, such people will never think about corruption, because they have the capability to do and achieve what they want to do without any short-cuts or corruption anyway.
So, putting people in positions for which they are not capable - leads to corruption. This relates to the reservations in jobs also.
Providing equal opportunities and encouraging all kinds of people in the society is separate - that must be done and everybody should encourage it. But giving jobs or position to an in-capable person is a criminal mistake. Our current political leaders are mixing them both.
Looking forward to read more from you and your experience, Sir!
One more thing Sir - why are you in Austin? Why can't you do something for our country sitting in India? If you start something, there are several people to support you!
