Articles: My Experience | Check who is sending you the E-mail! - Mr. Ram Lavu
| |
This is a new experience to me in the past 8 years I have been using E-mail.
I was sending information to a few of our association members about our activities. I received mail from one of the members that he does not want to be part of our list. He said that he is not interested in talking to other Telugu members, and he went on to say that his wife did not speak Telugu. The association I was managing was primarily for the NRI parents visiting NJ from AP.
In his letter he said that he does not expect to have his parents visit him in the near future. I felt bad. It is OK that he does not want to be part of the list. The reasons he gave did not sound good.
I met his father two years ago, and called this guy to explain that all seniors visitng from AP were happy about our efforts.
When I called him, he told me that his wife was using the E-mail address, and she was responding with his name.
She was the one who was not interested in associating with other Telugus. If you are not interested in knowing about Telugus, why marry a Telugu guy. She could have said that she is the one, who is not interested in the group. She did not have to use her husband's name.
I felt good that I called him to explain, and he told me the truth. He gave me another E-mail address, and said he is interested in our group. You will be surprised that this misunderstanding is cleared on this Vinayaka Chaviti day.
By the way, if any of you reside close to Edison, NJ, and want to become part of our Edison Indians group, please send your name, address, phone, and E-mail to ramlavu@gmail.com.
