Diabetics. You know your first diagnosis of diabetes is by and large a delayed event. By that time, normally your feet cray for care. Neuropathy sets in. Your foot surface (Plantar area) is normal to take the usual brunt. Your weight tends to concentrate in certain areas that break down, ulcers are formed, their healing not being much delayed than normal, having tendency to infection - fungal and microbial and all this leading to loss of limb and life!

You should not use footwear with toe stem, should have good fastening without demanding toe grip, light, economic, ofcourse affordable but BUT should preferably have moulded insole for uniform overall distribution of body weight. Look at the photo here which fortunately has no frightful affections but certainly in immediate danger if neglected.
I am in this foot care of diabetics and any of those many affected with neuropathy since earliest 60s of yester century. I am an ATM
