The meaning of Bhagawat is Divine and that of ‘Geeta’ is the song or saying. However, several meanings could be given as they are the words from Sanskrit language.
Bhagawat Geeta is the greatest spiritual and metaphysical scripture of the Hindus. The valuable teachings as given in Bhagwat Geeta are applicable to all stages of human development. Such a Universal and all-pervasive teaching with Practical solution for every day problems of life fell from the divine lips of the Lord Himself.
Sri C.Raja Gopalachari who was the Governor General of India (1950’s) used to often refer to Geeta whenever he had a critical political problem in his threshold. Ironically, he solved all of them eliciting the solutions from Geeta by himself. For this however, you should know which chapter of the Eighteen to refer to. The entire Bhagavad geeta is covered in 700 verses housed in 18 chapters. The chief architect and the Hero of Bhagavad Geeta is Lord Krishna Himself. Let us see what he did & His Prowess.
