Days and months passed Tina and the chick became the best of friends. Tina would confide everything in the chick and she used to be of great help in Tina’s day to day activities. One day there was an exhibition in school and everyone had to exhibit something wonderful that they crafted or have which they could share with the school. The school had announced a special prize for the best exhibit. Tina was very excited to show the chick. She became greedy and wanted to earn the special prize, too. She forgot the promise she had made to the chick.
She put the chick in a small basket and took her to school. Tina got the chick out and placed it in the exhibition hall and gave an introduction about the talents the chick possessed. The chick immediately lost all her power, started quacking like a normal chick, ran amidst the crowd and was lost. Tina became the laughing stock of her school. She lost her best friend who used to help her in her good and bad times.
