The Real Hindu.
He believes in matter and soul, but not in God.
He practiced penances under various Brahmins and learnt meditation from them.
The ideas raised by him had already been raised by the authors of the Upanishads, the Brahmanas, Sutras etc.
He lived like a Hindu and died like a Hindu.

The Noble Truth of Suffering.
Birth is suffering.
Decay is suffering.
Illness is suffering.
Death is suffering.
Hear!
Oh Bhikkus!
The Noble Truth cause of Suffering.
Thirst for pleasure.
Thirst for life.
Thirst for property.
Thirst that leads to new birth.
Hear!
Oh Bhikkus!
The Noble Truth of the cessation of Suffering.
Right Belief.
Right Aspiration.
Right Speech.
Right Conduct.
Right means of Livelihood.
Right Exertion.
Right Mindedness.
Right Meditaiton.
