Articles: My Experience | The Trip cannot forget - Miss sruthi laya

One of our adventure in this trip was related to that. On the way to the temple from museum we asked the driver to take to one of the veena makers. We interviewed him and asked him from where he gets the wood etc... He told that he sold once to the same dealer where we buy veenas in Hyderabad. Veena is made from Jackfruit tree which comes from near by forests. He also told us that he is is not selling to Hyderabad as travel has become difficult as one ticket per one veena and veena cannot be parcelled. Eka kanda veena costs around 9000 and veena made of more pieces that are assembled is 6000.
From there we went to the temple where there was an elephant welcoming people. Very big temple it was. A Big compound for lot of space to walk. The architecture I could appreciate as an engg. There were several coconut trees around the compound wall. My coleage told me later that each tree has its own story... God knows.. anyways...
There were many foreiners there. There was crowd of children around one of them. He was clicking pictures and showing to the crowd (some poor children). There was croud inside temple so just prayed and came back.
My father recorded me singing here. Ok the one ambition to give a kacheri(programme) in Tanjour is accomplished...:) Just joking..
We could feel the tranquility and peace entering our souls. So these are the temples of India that we were hearing a lot about..
These are memories I have about that trip. Just memorised it as the experince was a good one... felt like sharing...
OK Friends do visit these places.. a nice experience..
