Social Welfare Deputy Director in ACB net Medak, Sept 7 (INN): A Social Welfare Deputy Director was nabbed red-handed by sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 to release the 2nd quarter budget. According to ACB sources, the accused has been identified as Muvva Laxmi Sudha (34) and the bribe amount of Rs 15,000 was recovered from her office table drawer at her instance.
Subsequent searches unearthed an amount of Rs 1,46,360 which was the bribe amounts received from other hostel wardens of the district on the same day. Another 1.4 lakh was recovered from her residence during searches. ACB sleuths arrested Muvva Laxmi Sudha after fingers of both her hands yielded positive result when subjected to chemical test. She is being produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad.
