TDP accuses Modi of playing Caste Politics

Guntur, April 21st: Can you tell us the count that the number of BCs appointed in the Prime Minister's Office? How many of backward community Governors of the states designated after your government comes?, Telugu Desam Party questioned Modi on Sunday.

Kimidi Kala VenkatRao, AP State Party President released a press statement on Sunday questioning Modi's statement saying that he is not getting support because he is a BC.

India is a country of composite culture of all religions and castes and is the best Evidence of harmony. A country that is moving towards a caste-free society. Continuing in the role of Prime Minister for such a nation, trying to get political mileage by provoking caste sentiments is a disgusting attempt. It is a bad scar to Prime Minister's post. You all the time who utter 'Chai wala' and BC, have you done any single great work to backward community people who are more than 50 per cent of the country's population, TDP questioned.

TDP asked Modi 14 questions in this regard.

1. Can you tell us the count that the number of BCs appointed in the Prime Minister's Office? How many of backward community Governors of the states designated after your government comes?
2. Why hadn't you implemented the states' resolution sent to Delhi to give political reservation to the BCs in the legislatures?
3. Is it justifiable that applying to all BCs when as part of political criticism you were called as thief for guarding the financial criminals? Are you eligible for the post of Prime Minister who cannot even welcome criticism?
4. Is it not true that you had played a key role in the anti-reservation movement in 1984 against the reservations provided by the Constitution for the weaker and backward sections?
5. Is not it true that the BJP government has blocked the Mandal Commission on BC Reservation which was appointed at the time of VP Singh rule?
6. Reservations for the backward communities received by the Mandal Commission. Is it not shameful to use the same backward communities for your vested political interests for whom you have blocked and created hurdles to avail reservations?
7. Is it not your conspiracy that the 13-point roster system in university appointments brought to keep backward community educated youth out of university professor positions?
8. You have allocated only Rs.7, 750 crores for 70 crore BCs in the country. But Rs 16,000 crore has been allocated for the two and a half crore population of backward communities in AP. Is this the love you have towards BCs?
9. You have never showed in acts the love that you are showing in your words. You who claims BC all the time, why have you not implemented the demand of special ministry for the backward communities' welfare?
10. Is it not true that the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (R L S P) and Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha left the NDA with the dissatisfaction over backward communities' welfare?
11. In the recent elections, the BJP had lost in the states where the BC population is high. Have you ever thought that the betrayal that your party plotted against BCs caused your electoral loses in BC populated states?
12. Is this the love that you towards BCs that you have joined hands with the YS family who have killed BCs?
13. Is it your cunning love towards BC's that plotting IT raids on Paleti Rama Rao and Puttu Sudhakar Yadav of the backward classes with the political orchestration?
14. Is it not evidence of failure of your government for the last five years towards BCs as provoking caste and communal sentiments by playing BC card when elections are at near? Is this your rule? Is this your politics?

During the last elections you have promised to develop the country and keep it top in the world. But, after coming into power kept the word aside protecting a dozen corporate giants. You have waived of their lakhs of crore bank dues and cheated the common man. You troubled and blocked the farmers' loan waiver. And you have been plotting raids on whom questioning you. Nothing has done after coming into power with development mantra then. Since nothing has been there to tell provoking the caste and communal sentiments now. So, the whole country downed its head with shame looking the way the politics that you are doing, TDP said.
