The movie had catapulted her to fame. ‘‘Shankar sir was too big a director to cast me. I was shooting abroad and
when my mom told that his people were trying to contact me I thought someone was pulling my legs! He is one of the
decent directors I’ve worked with. I never expected such a kind of humility from a big director like him,’’ she
