< < Previous   Photo: 6 of 14   Next > >

The city of future is all set to become a knowledge hub of the nation with the new arrivals like BITS-Pilani, IIT, XLRI, Georgia Tech University. And IIM is not far behind. The central HRD minister Arjun Singh has promised to start an IIM at Hyderabad. The new green field international airport is likely to recieve its first passenger flight early next year. While BITS-Pilanis campus building is going at a brisk pace near Shamirpet the land acquisition process to set up IIT near Patancheru is almost nearing and a foundation stone laying ceremony is slated for next september. The prestigeous XLRI may start functioning from Loyola college premises from the next acedemic year untill it gets its own campus ready on the outskirts of Hyderabad city. The Georgia Tech Universiy is eager to set up its campus on more than 100 acres land at Shadnagar offered by the NRIs of Palamoor.
