The Andhra State from Madras State was formed on October 1st in 1953. Three years later it merged with Nizam to become Andhra Pradesh on November 1st. Since Telangana is now separated, some argue that Andhra should celebrate October 1st as the State formation day. Not only argument, but they went ahead and hoisted the National Flag on Kondapalli Fort near Vijayawada on October 1st, 2014 and celebrated the Andhra State formation day.
