Thousand of devotees thronged at the state’s most popular Ganesh venue, Khairatabad Ganesh to witness the first prayers to their beloved deity on he first day of the festival here on Thursday morning. Governor ESL Narashimhan, along with his wife Vimala Narashimhan, participated in the prathisthapana programme and performed the first special pooja to the deity.
