Active Blogs | Popular Blogs | Recent Blogs The idea of abolishing the EAMCET exam altogether with effect from 2012 is a welcome feature. We have seen that unusual importance was given to eamcet exam ignoring the studies at intermediate level. Hitherto, even if the students secured minimum required marks in inter and high marks in eamcet, they were able to secure seats in professional colleges like engg, medicine, agriculture etc. Thus scant importance was given to inter studies. A serious student spends much of his time on eamcet preparation after inter
We are all aware that the eamcet question paper contains 160 bit questions. Each one of these questions has four alternative answers out of which only one is correct. Thus an ordinary student without much study, if he/she ticks blindly every 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th answer the student is likely to secure few marks. If luck favours, the student may secure a seat in a professional college. I do not mean to say that every student will act like this. But we can not rule out the possibility. Such astudent will have no understanding of the subjects at the base level ( inter ) and the student will some how come out of the professional college successfully ( by hook or by crook ) with a degree in hand. What proficieny do you expect from such a student ?
There fore we need to have a foolproof system. A common entrance examination may be advisable, thus enabling the students all over India to seek admission in professional colleges whereever they want to study. Some time back, Mr.Kapil Sibal, central minister suggested that a common entrance test may be introduced for all professional courses in the country by the year 2013. But before all this a uniform inter syllabus has to be planned and streamlined through out the country. All this process is time consuming. Meanwhile EAMCET exam may be done away with giving more stress and importance to comprehensive intermediate studies. Please ponder over it.
