Hi,

I am a graduate student from the Netherlands and at the moment I'm conducting research in Guntur, AP, on the transfer channels that are used to send remittances to family members in India. I'm interested in why NRIs choose the use either the banking channel or services of transfer operators like Western Union.

For this topic I was just wondering how family in India influences the choice of transfer channels for NRIs abroad to send money home? Does family in India give any advise about how to transfer money back to India?
