Justice E. D. Sims, 19, had pled guilty to kidnapping and first degree murder and a sentence of 400 months and $5,268 in restitution has
been handed down by the courts.
Sims was accused of conspiring with his sister Breeanna C. Sims and Taylor J. Wolf in the brutal beating of Thoreson at a garage in Spokane Valley. It had been reported that following the beating, Sims had fired the shot that killed Thoreson. According to reports, Thoreson’s body was found in
the trunk of his vehicle and it appeared to have been burned. Reportedly, detectives stated that Wolf had made statements about how he was to shoot Thoreson but was unable to so Sims assisted him. He allegedly admitted to wearing gloves and according to documents submitted into court evidence;
phone conversations had been recorded to corroborate his story.
Reportedly, as part of a plea arrangement, the initial charge of aggravated first degree murder charge was changed to first degree murder. Wolf and Sims sister will be tried separately.
