Here is a story of Red Tapism. A gentleman is sending complaints and reminders to the Vigilance Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh since Feb, 2008 with a copy to the Collector and Joint Collector of Krishna District - but still no response!

Here is an email copy we received from this gentleman from Vijayawada. We are removed the name of the person for security reasons. Here is the copy of the email:

Respected sir,

Sub : Misappropriation of govt funds by laying the roads in third party property and harassing the buyers by claiming as that they are utilizing that property from long back and acting as land grabbers, Not to expect from govt officials - Reg.

Ref : Our earlier complaint Dtd 04/02/2008.

With ref to the above, we have purchased K D C M S property ( cooperative dept ) in Veeravalli village, Bapulapadu Mandal, Krishna dist in open auction.

After transferring the property in our favor by the sale committee, The veeravalli panchayat's officials as well as local gunda politicians harassed us by saying that we encroached their panchayat's road. ( east side to our property). We explained them, that we have purchased this property from govt authorities and submitted a copy of our regd documents to them. Even though, they refused to accept the actual facts and issued notices to us by instructing us to remove our compound wall which was constructed in our limits fixed by D I survey, Krishna dist.

We wish to bring the actual facts for your notice :

First of all, this road name was Srinivasa Road. That road was laid / formed up to Sri Badagala Krishnas house only. Later in 1966, Cooperative rice mill people donated some ext to extend / to form the road up to field office land ( In between to our property - North side). ( You can check the same from Panchayat's records itself)

Now they are saying that we encroached Muslims bazar? . Please find out how that road was formed ? . When it was renamed ? .Whats that road measurements ?. How it reached up to bypass road through our property?

When we asked them to submit the following records / documents i e

> From whom they purchased ? to form the road / laying the road through our property up to bypass road ?

> Who donated the land ? and who formed the road and handed overred to panchayat for further maintenance?.

> With whom permission they laid the road in third party property ?. i e east side to our property /in our property i e From Badagala Krishna's house to By pass road ?

But they refused to do so.

We clearly explained to the panchayat officials , that no one of land grabber will never get any rightful / legal ownership in third party property by saying / claiming that they are utilizing this property with out any objections from last 30-35 years in our democratic INDIA.

But they are not in a position to accept our words and in addition to that they are harassing us and issued notices to remove our compound wall which was constructed in our boundaries. Hence we filed a civil suite in this regard.

So please look in to the matter and find out how the money was Misappropriated like this through their M books and take necessary actions on the concerned persons and organize to recover the same from the culprits.

The person who made this compliant included his name, phone numbers, mobile numbers and email address. But he didn't got a response. He is continuously sending his complaints and reminders until today, but still no response.

I am not sure whether this person is right or wrong, but I believe he should get a response. Somebody should hear and somebody should come forward. In the largest democracy, don't we have any value to a compliant?

Mr. Vigilance Commissioner, Mr. Collector and Mr. Joint Collector - all of you have minimum courtesy and responsibility to respond to this compliant. If you cannot respond to a complaint even after one year, how can common man believe in the system? How can ordinary person expect to get justice from the Government and Government Officials?

Please wake up!
