What a disappointment! Blade ozone book with Compaq Presario CQ60 product that fails to convince us - that's a euphemism - and deserved (for the price) a much better build quality.
The Strike is a mechanical keyboard rather complete and fun to use (see review), which has the advantage of being sold at quite competitive in its segment. Obviously, it was a commercial success for Ozone, renewing experience with the Blade, a Toshiba PA3465U-1BRS keyboard this time offers a touch more traditional (keys portable membranes with a relatively long stroke and rebound more than flat keyboards), which is - in part - offset by selling price reduced to sixty euros. A good idea on paper, which is not transformed.

Layout errors!
Indeed, just hands on the Blade to type a few lines of Dell Inspiron 1525 text and understand its touch that can only see a shot that clearly lacks quality. Strikes a soft bounce laborious finishing touches disappointing, a space bar makes a spring noise and a funny tilt rows of buttons below supposed to bring ergonomics, but proving ultimately more disturbing that something else. With this observation, necessarily, the Blade from afar.
And this is unfortunately not the niveaude overall finish which will help to glean a few points. Besides the choice of typeface buttons quite awkward, and missed tests "stylization" buttons useful for players (arrows keys AZEQSD horrible ...), you even errors in the presentation layout ... And yes, a QWERTY keyboard, the HP Pavilion DV6 combination "Shift +;" displays good one. "" Not "" ... In the same vein, we regret that the laser engraving initials to let the light shine through the backlight is also imprecise. The three small balls accompanying the letter "R" to illustrate the "Reload" well known to fans of shooters is in the genre, quite lousy. And one could also mention the Windows key.
The cheap in the rough
The back ¨¦cairage himself is well in line with expectations and available in two colors (Red and Blue), with adjustable intensity via the presence of a cursor in the upper right corner, but it is not perfectly uniform and the cursor in question is symptomatic of a cheap enough rest at the infamous low-end plastic used to design the whole Sony VGP-BPS12 product. As for the overall design, it has no interest to capitalize on the vain efforts made in the presentation of the layout, and tries to push through two vents at the present enlightened "wrist rest" ( too short to rest anything more annoying than anything else in the end), it ends being sealed by the inconvenient key Macros, Functions and profiles installed on both sides of the keyboard.

We end this sad citing poor three red LEDs positioned above the keypad, without any indication as to their usefulness, and speaking of two small non-slip pads insufficient present at the wrist rest, and absent from the to the upper end of the keyboard. Suffice to say that once raised on his crutches, Blade becomes a pour on your Pavilion DV4 desktop!
Drivers side, nothing special to remember, if not all keys are easily reprogrammable, which creates its quite easily and Macros that are defined preferences of 5 profiles fairly classic. It is basic, but effective, and it is noted that the "Mode" button to disable the Windows key on his part to avoid unwanted office returns. For once, the software part comes with Ozone Blade is fairly well thought out and functional. The 128 bytes of Latitude d830 internal memory for saving preferences in the keyboard and up to 50 macros distributed over the 5 profiles.

All this taken into account, and after several days at work and play with the Blade on the desktop, we are quite relieved to have completed this XPS M2010test in order to regain our usual keyboard, which is usually a good indication (last rather bad in this case) the overall quality of a product. The other bad news is that Ozone intends to sell its Blade sixty euros, which seems to be clearly abused when you know the quality of finishing a Logitech Illuminated Keyboard that we have no difficult to find in this price range, which certainly does not give access to profiles or macros, functions valued players, but Dell XPS M1530 offers a touch and overall quality incommensurate. Hard to believe as it proclaims loud and clear on the box that Ozone Blade, pro-gamer StarCraft II Juan "VortiX" Moreno can estimate that this is the best membrane keyboard while he could test, it may be (and this is normal) quieter than a mechanical keyboard ...
