Active Blogs | Popular Blogs | Recent Blogs It's been a few years since we sent Trials air blow ramps, jumps and explosive canisters. And this new version might be the ultimate outcome of the Dell XPS M1530 series, as it turns out comprehensive and demanding.
How does one recognize a great game? In many things, but there is a more representative than any aspect: the ability to federate. Experience, Trials Evolution install on a machine, leave it available to everyone and you will see very quickly a crowd massing around the screen, each trying to beat the records of others, insulting copiously. And it can take a long, long time to rot the productivity of writing an entire day ... which is a good sign as to the final quality of the title.
The Trials series, it's been a few years we know it, through several still very successful and particularly addictive episodes. The Dell XPS M1330 principle is simple and has ultimately not changed much since the beginning: you drive a motocross on a littered with obstacles, jumps, traps and whatnot based crunching metal circuit. Progress is made on a single plane and you have "only" manage your speed and incline of the vehicle, namely the distribution of the weight of the driver. Too simple and basic? Wait until you have passed the first races - always fairly easy - to say it ... because soon, Trials Evolution is capable of tearing your hair out in handfuls, but always with a smile, thanks to its management physical copy.
Delusions of grandeur
For the biggest news of this episode is crazy and uninhibited side circuits. Here, no more indoor pises who all look a bit, up to fresh air and delusions level Latitude E5500 design almost limitless. 129 tracks are proposed, which is based on a bunch of decorations totally unexpected in a motocross game: beach landing, suspended in the air, nuclear and even some taken from the video game landscape (Limbo and Shadow of the Colossus Islands , for example). The vertiginous descents of some jumps and some are startling and quickly tracks become so technical that it is closer to the platform game that the simulation 'on two wheels.
Alone, Trials Evolution proposes a holy life, with a E6400 Battery permit system to unlock through winning medals, but also a whole bunch of crazy events, like downhill skiing, control a ball on a tray (so Marble Madness) or piloting a flying saucer (yes, yes). All with a constant pleasure, thanks to the precision of the physics governing the handling and extreme good taste realization, despite some jerks and framerate drops from time to time, which makes us say that porting to Xbox 360 PC was not particularly optimized.
Community and generous
If he stopped to solo, Trials Evolution would be a great arcade game, enjoyable in any time and providing immediate pleasure. But RedLynx did not stop there, since the whole community and multiplayer portion was very developed. A level editor (a complex hair, but powerful) is available as well, like the Dell Latitude E6500 ability to get online circuits created by the players, some of which are an incredible sadism.
The multiplayer side is not left with the option - local or online - to face three opponents on the same circuit, each boasting its own "corridor" to reach the finish before the others. These tracks are only a fortnight, which seems a bit stingy compared to the Dell Studio 1555 proposed expansion solo. But the fact is that the multiplayer mode is very successful, immediately establishing an atmosphere made of a mixture of competition and in bad faith, a sign that the goal is reached.
The "Evolution" of Trials is a gem of fun and instant gratification, but also offers a huge room for improvement, as some circuits require high technical skills and unfailing patience, especially if you are aiming for the gold medal . The Dell Studio 1558 quality of the recipe developed by RedLynx seems in any case to have peaked and is particularly pleasing as it is available at a great price, twenty euros. A value for money life, which seems unbeatable.
