Active Blogs | Popular Blogs | Recent Blogs To meet the Growing requirements of quality power distribution for industrial and residential use, electricity distribution systems are hurriedly undergoing upgrades. Looking to safety measures and quality of services, converting the overhead line to high quality underground(UG) China power cable in low tension and high tension electricity distribution networks. power cables are the major component of new generation Power distribution system. Technical requirements for power and control cables are:
a) Armoured copper/ aluminium power and control cables: Extruded PVC sheath inner, single round galvanised steel wire armoured and provided with PVC sheath outer. Both outer and inner sheaths shall be ST-1 as per IS: 5831.
B) Unarmoured copper/aluminium power and control cables: extruded PVC sheath inner and provided with PVC sheath outer. Both outer and inner sheaths shall be Type ST-1 as per IS: 5831.
Due to water tree growth in HT xlpe power cables , specially designed insulation materials called WTR-XLPE. WTR-XLPE insulation materials lead to a much longer in-service life for power cables. Inner sheath and outer sheath insulation shall be applied by separate extrusion. Insulation should not be damaged when exposed to the bad weather conditions. There are some of the important factors should consider when buying power cables:-
(a) About Manufacturer
(b) Voltage grade
(c) Successive length
(d) Size of cable
(e) International standard Mark
(f) Year of manufacture
Quality cables have high tensile strength and perfect resistance to high temperatures. WTR-XLPE cables work in both moist and dry conditions. Cross linked polyethylene cables have distinct advantages such as lighter weight, better electrical and thermal properties, less maintenance, and easier terminating and jointing procedure etc. Always choose to buy a power cables from International standard system certified PVC Wire Cable Supply manufactures.
