Bangkok is one of Asia’s most cosmopolitan cities. Created as the Thai capital in 1782 by the first monarch of the present Chakri dynasty, Bangkok is a national treasure house and Thailand’s spiritual, cultural, political, commercial, educational and diplomatic centre. Major tourist attractions include glittering Buddhist temples, palaces, timeless “Venice of the East” canal and river scenes, classical dance extravaganzas, and numerous shopping centers. Free day at leisure. Over night stay at Bangkok hotel.
Day 2 Bangkok: After breakfast proceed for a half day city sightseeing tour of Bangkok. A Chance to study every day Thai life as you start the tour by making your way through the bustling streets of Bangkok’s Chinatown – the heart of the old business area of the city heading towards three of the most impressive Buddhist temples in Bangkok. First stop is at “Wat Trimit”, the Temple of Golden Buddha, which houses an impressive three meters tall, 5.5 ton, solid gold Buddha sculpted in the graceful Sukhothai style. This is followed by “Wat Pho”, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, for which you would require a whole list of superlatives to give justice to any description! It is the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok; it feathers the largest reclining Buddha and the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand; and it was the earliest centre for public education. City Tour starts at 8.30 AM and ends at 12.30 PM. Afternoon free day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3 Bangkok: After breakfast at hotel, checkout and transfer to airport for departure.
