To Dr. Rameshbabu, Sir, It seems that you have totally failed to understand the concept of “Lok Satta”. Your assumption “those who did not do anything wrong in the past, would serve the people better seems to be nonsensical. The “Lok Satta” party feels that many good or bad people may come and may go out of the party, but the system of governance should be foolproof. i. e. the governance should be in the hands of the people. For e.g. If there is an allotment of Rupees one Crore for the development of a particular ward, then the decision to spend that amount giving priority according to the importance of the need should be given to the people of that area only. Through “Citizens’ Groups” or “Quality Circles” the implementation of those works would be done. I will tell you the difference of quality if any particular work is implemented by “Citizens’ Groups” on one hand and “the contractors” on the other hand. For e.g.- For laying a “Cement Road”- If implemented by a contractor: The contractor spends at least 20% money as bribes to the officials and politicians to get the contract. He also spends another 10% to get his bills passed. He never thinks about the quality of the road and feels that if it comes to repair, he may get the “repair contract” again. If implemented by the “Citizens Group”: These groups even can get the cement and iron at very cheap rates from the companies because some big companies keep some money aside for doing good to the society as a part of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). They give cement and steel at cheap rates for the purpose of laying roads for the public. So, in this way roads can be built very cheaply. The big companies would not give cement and steel cheaply if the roads are built by contractors as their motive is profit. In this way people get tremendous benefit from “people’s participation” in the governance. I told you only a fraction of things which would come in future. Even if the success of “Lok Satta” is very limited in the forth coming elections, with their brilliant implementation, they would surely rule the state by 2014. Yours truly, K. Sree Krishna

Since its transformation into a political party , about two year back several Elections have come without LS (Lok satta) contesting . Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corp and bi elections for seats in Telengana are coming shortly. LS and its leader should stop sermonizing about politics , corruption etc and contest all the elections. No one is expecting them to win elections, we only want to see what the impact their campaign has been on public and to see how they are going to fund their Election campaign. KanshiRam and Mayawati did not build BSP by giving lectures or by cursing others , but by building a movement and contesting Elections. LS should learn a lesson from them. Comeon JP, grow up, stop being a Boy scout .
