It is difficult to teach our culture and values to kids when native language is not taught since childhood. The essence of an expression is lost sometimes when translated.
Living in USA and trying to teach my kids Telugu has been challenge.
Not finding the right resources and creative ways to inculcate interest are the impediments so far.
There are few resources, online or otherwise, for kids to learn Telugu. Most of these resources are geared toward kids living in Andhra Pradesh, resources necessary for kids in foreign lands need to be much more simplified and interactive. We still have more work to do in this regards.
