Well..for ne there appears two routs.
One is legal and lenghty one and the other is the short but sturdy one.
If India wants to go legally, as it has been going on since independence,I dont see any solution to the Kashmir problem in the near future.India doesnt have economic clout in the world trade and consequently has no political clout as welll, and few developed countries lend their ears to our domestic problems like Kashmir. To make the world countries listen to India on any issue,India must gather economic strength.then only Uncle Sam wud listen to it.Otherwise nobody bothers. But unfortunately India ,DESPITE HER BEST EFFORTS,cudnot progress economically to far due to its peculiar socio-economic problems like illeteracy, poverty, unemployment, corrupt politicians..wht not??.If India cud become an economic superpower b4 Pakis cud do it(definitely they are far behind us in this regard),then India can simplay CLAIM kashmir by placing its hand on it.Nobody wud utter a word!At th emoment India is fearing of economic and scientific sanctions from USA and other developed countries to take any drastic step like declaring war on PAK to claim Kashmir.thats coz India BADLY needs foreign investment and international loans from world bank and other foreign institutions for running its welfare programmes and other developemental works. So INDIA has been hesitating and vascillating all along since its independence. So I wud say KASHMIR is an economical problem rather than a political problem, when seen from this prespective. How bigger are South korea or japan compared to India in SIZE?!but purely becaus eof their economic clout and their share in the world trade(esp Japan) the opposed several times USA and stopped it from having its own way on several occations on international issues(I will have to dig up history if U want me to substantiate on it).so GET BACK TO BASIC ECONOMICS to solve all ur problems.(but this route wud definitely take a long long time..pch..)
The other sturdy stubborn bold way is to Scrap the Article 370 which provides special status to J&K....and Shout to the world that "Kashmir is part and parcel of INDIA..if anybody opens their mouth..we wud kick them out"And then declare war on PAK and if necessary 9first try diplomacy with china )on CHINA as well to recover Kashmir beyond LOC and that GIVENto China by PAK.But India ,I mean our petty politicians are more worried about their own comfort and warmth..and so they nevr dare do such SILLY things which doesnt benefit them in anyway.Ofcorse India needs to think twice b4 goin to such war..coz war means war..and its consequences..rising prices and chaos everywhere.
But frns..if only India were ECONOMICALLY,it wud have burried kashmir issue loang long ago...even b4 most of us were born.Wht say?!
Look @ what had happend in IRAQ.whatevermay b the motives of USA(either oil fields or Weapons of mass destruction or just to get some say indomestic politics..god knows),wht it has done despite Global opposition?!Can Indai ever do like that on any issue ,if not now, say 100 yrs from now?!I wonder...
(I am posting thi asa new article as well..)
Tanks forlistening to my blaw blaw..;)
