| I have read this information before. Now this is more informative. Good to share this info.
It may not be possible to initiate this step by the goverment because of politcs.
It is true Moguls destroyed so many Indian(Hindu) temples (fully or partly). They have constructed mosque type roofs on top of famous temples like in Ayodya, Varanasi, Madurai, etc. So, it may be true that Taj Mahal is constructed in place of Shiva Temple.
