Posted by: Mr. Aandhrudu At: 9, Nov 2004 5:11:43 PM IST Sweccha has no limitation but itis up to the wisdom of every individual of how much one can take that conforms to the values of life.As in the novel, the heroine fought for sweccha towards self-actualization .Till this day, how many women are able to experience self-actualization.Sweccha is not simply fighting for everything but the desire to achieve your rightful dreams which differ from person to person.
Posted by: Mrs. vidyadhari Manikonda At: 29, May 2004 3:39:46 AM IST two decades back ......In enginnering college .. students made tamasha when one of the student come to college with Chudi Daar.
College ammyilu chudi dar uerugaru; Now 90% college students are weraing it; But same time for north India it's common.
Freedom for whom? it's an individual experience but society like us still fighting with castism. Children are educated with castism and we look for freedom?
Posted by: Mr. M Kumar N At: 28, May 2004 9:09:58 PM IST i want to know about freedom basically.i have confusion with freedom. evry one wants freedom, but how,now how far it is, to todays women.time is changing every women is studying and earning and she is bonding with culture,it fixes her in a frame, after some time that frame is increasing( that is space).i think it is the only relative adjustment corresponding to time.i think pride and prejuduce governig factors of bonding between people, it makes
love and affection and negative feelings.
if we want absolute freedom all things regarding bonding of human beings will exast.that is the final stage of cultural man, that is the story of real numbers of(fully economic)unrealman.i have so many doubts regarding freedom.i am unable to explain cleary in english.my mail id is : myneni2000@yahoo.com
Posted by: Mr. raghava Myneni At: 27, May 2004 7:38:05 PM IST Swecha does mean liberation. If there are limitations, it is an oxymoron.... If one has to get permission to be free, how is it called swecha? In my opinion if one can do things according to one's own wish, without fear, that is called freedom. Having concerns for others is diffrent from being scared. In this book, the heroin was scared about her husband's reactions and she beleived what she was doing was right. And she yearns for the freedom which I say is totally appropriate.
Nobody says that one shoud have the freedom to kill others or rob others... The women who speak of liberation are talking the necessity of being able to be independent and not have to get their acceptance from their elders or the husband in every step of the way.... there is nothing wrong with that. Giving respect does not mean to surrencder yourself and be obedient as a pet dog.. What do you mean by wrong things...
Posted by: Mrs. Padma Inguva At: 26, May 2004 7:57:56 PM IST 'Swecha' meens not simple liberation or a permission to do whatever you want to do.There should be some limitation to our liberty. in the name of swecha the present generation are resorting to unwanted ,unhealthy & unacceptable practises leading themselves in to serious personnel & social problems. Most of the women who talk of women liberation are encouraging such practises. There is no doubt that the woman should have self confidence , decision making powers & self sustinence,.but in the name of liberty we should not do wrong things.
Giving respect & following elders advice is still needed .
