Articles: My Thoughts | Lets sincerely give it a try | |
| hmmmmm
ur thoughts r wonderful
u hv not written anything for which u need to feel sorry. u wrote whatever u hv seen in ur neighbourhood. but u haven't seen the better side of the things which r far from ur surroundings here in india. whatever u saw in movies they r just the source of living for some of the people. they just create something and put it for ur entertainment. those who take seriously and try to put into their lives sometimes go the wrong way. any way u try to do ur good job of reminding the people of the RICH TRADITION OF INDIAN CULTURE.

Aping their culture just to demonstrate that they too belong here is sad. There are good and bad things about every culture, it is important to apply discretion and follow what is good and discard what is not good.
I hope there will be change in our attitudes towards blindly imitating an alien culture..

I appreciate you…for presenting this article in TP
Yes ours is THE RICH TRADITION
This really a good call
..... but nothing is impossible…Lets join hands and strongly determine to teach our children the values of our RICH CULTURE and the importance of having a good character and make them realise that they are Indians after all…be it whatever.
Cheers

just now I have seen ur article. I empathise with your deep concern for the disappearing values and dilapidating cultures. In Bhagavad geetha, there is a sloka which says swadharmE nidhanaM SrEyaha paradharmO bhayAvaha' which means that it always better to follow our culture than aping the unknown one. Even Gandhiji also used to tell that our windows should be opened to welcome the winds from any culture, but we should have the discretion what to take and what to leave. When the foreigners, atleast some of them, are showing interest in our family system, culture and values with admiration, we are foolishly aping the foreign culture. Let us hope some change will appear in this blind imitation....

Your words are perfectly right. Today modern society is paying so much attention on superficial and ephemeral things. But when they realise about value of life they even loss their chance of rectifying their faults.
Definetly time will come when entire world starving for getting peace at that moment only traditional and moral values will get polish.
