Facility means Building(structure which houses people/machinery) not a company. A company can have many facilities(buildings) in different locations.
This is in USA and I don't know about Europe.

Good joke;
In the west and europe companies are termed as facilities( Group of companies); Another thing most of the facilities were mechanized and automated so, you don't find full of workers like south east asian countries.
New broom sweeps well but be sure which area are you cleaning?
May be the young chap did right thing accidentally by cutting of PIZZA delivary to shopfloor!
