Articles: My Experience | Ah! The Indian Train! | |
| Well your article is quite god.Joined the telugu people today only. The fact that you mentioned vijaywada staion made me more nostalgic though iam from vizag.I had the habit of getting down in VJY and walk along the length of the coach, also buy one fruit juice(those days Rs.5) and the crispy somosas!!!!(only onion inside)..once the train chughs outside VJY, iwas looking forward to enter it inot the scenic godavari belt..i can write tonnes on these journeys.......many of my good friends so far have turned out to be one time journey mates in my long journeys from north down to vizag. Cheers. Good Day.

Posted by: Prof. narendra kumar CH At: 13, Nov 2004 6:43:29 PM IST Refreshing article, this one makes me to enjoy my old memories. Whenever I was travelling alone, I used to talk to someone elder. Most of the times, I met single employees, they used to tell me details about themselves. Though some were boring, I always used to enjoy such chat. Whenever they offer me something, I never hesitated to take. But when I read something bad about such offerings in news papers, I was scared a little bit. Anyway, though I was travelling alone, I never felt alone in our trains.
Posted by: Venkat At: 21, Jul 2004 0:33:29 AM IST Per year I used to travel Hyd to chennai at least 5 times when I studied at Hyd, I never come across such a friendly conversation, since I used to travel alone, feel awesome if some one looks at differently, I always scared of talking to others, even in AC coach also the same, if they travel in group then no matter the time is theirs, but like me it is difficult. I just keep reading some books, since in AC coach everything is missing like a chai or butter milk or tomato soup, I never comes out also, when I travel in II class I used to take butter milk, train journey is a good experience when you are in company otherwise........
