Articles: My Thoughts | Time-The Greatest Figment of Human Imagination | |
| That is quite a nice article. very well articulated..i should say.
but Mr.Kedarnath, i have this doubt in mind.... it is this. if you take Einstein in to considertion, he came to the conclusion that time is relative, by taking in to his frame of reference, matter and space as well. now speaking from a philosophical standpoint also, one can negate time only when one can negate the existence of oneself. i guess that is the reason why great sages like Vasishta Maha Muni in their treatises like Yoga Vasishata spoke of the nonexistence and unreality of time, space and matter as well.may be you could try to integrate these perspectives within yourself.when you say time does not exist, you should also be able to prove that you dont exist yourself.
i truly liked your article. hope you would write more of the same
shantala.

and
When time is reffered in 'How much time it took to write this article?'
We have different usages.
Time is more a reference than thing. For that matter, weight like Kg also dosen't exist.
When you say Time dosent exist, it is more universal and is not limited to Time. Fact is 'Nothing exists'.
Either we are constant and time moves. or we move through time.
But one thing for sure ...this is a great article. I enjoyed the time spent reading it.
Keep writing sir.
Posted by: Mr. antha nijam At: 12, Aug 2004 10:09:42 AM IST It has been happening through ages, thats how languages developed, when u see new thing you associate a word to it and next time when u utter out that word others know exactly what thing u are talking abt. Association of all such words constituted a language. I think its much simpler than it seems. When you have to come up with duration between two nights u need some measure like to measure quantity of milk we need litre as measure. like we have half litre, quarter litre and so on... we have hours, minutes and seconds. Time is not something that doesnt exist its a measure of duration. I think we dont need two pages of essay to get misguided from this simple fact.
