The Indian Army today claimed to have intensively engaged the Pakistani intruders on the flanks of Kargil sector with at least six Pakistan Army personnel killed and another 19 injured in the Turtuk area and after artillery retaliation in the Uri sector.
However, the Indian side also suffered casualties in the Fierce fighting in Turtuk and Chorbat La area. A column led by Lt Hanifuddin of Rajputana Rifles came under intense Pak artillery shelling. In spite of the fact that Lt Hanifuddin, one JCO and one other rank were seriously injured, the three continued to advance towards the target and engaged the enemy with small arms Fire. Lt Hanifuddin laid down his life in the finest traditions of the Indian Army.

I can never forget the Kargil war and the attrocities, torture by BLOODY Pakistani soldiers. I can never forget in my life time the suffering Saurav Kaliya and his troop of 5 members undergone.

Even Padmapani Acharya and Hakeem (I suppose) of Andhra sacrificed their lives in Kargil War.
I yearned to meet the parents of Sri Padmapani Acharya when I was in Nellore. But somehow I felt I am not deserving enough a person to meet them.
Kudos to our great Soldiers. What else we can say!
