| This is a nice story.. A very fierce, agressive & hardlined feminist perspective.. though I like the way it is being told, I wonder How realistic is the characterization of 'surya narayana'. Are there such people out there in good numbers ? Do they have so much bias with Wife Vs Kids (others) trating wife as trash and rest of the world worth-while. I honestly doubt, if this character is represeting an average husband.
I don't know why feminist literature always to an extent hinges on and takes examples from extreeme behaviour.. May be it adds more color to an otherwise bland narration.
Why don't any one write putting females in those shoes ? Aren't there any women(even wise & educated) out there raising living hell out of families ? I see so many males out there in regular society who go out of the way to help partners/siblings to get the choices, living & freedom to decide as their counter parts do.. why don't those type of people ever get a mention ?
I feel feminist literatue is not being very balanced and not responding to the changing times.
I am not a seansoned critic or anything and these are my personal views and I just thought I would spill some ramblings
