Articles: My Thoughts | What it used to be like... | |
| Hi there!!
Ya in terms of wealth and technology we r modernised but i believe we are not at peace with ourselfs in this so called modern age.I can sense what really missing in us(or atleast in me) is 'FEELINGS'.We've become much more self centred and insensitive now i guess.I also remember the days where i used to wait for hours for a single telugu(however old it is)song in Chitramala or for that matter Chitralahari as well with its unlimited ads in between.I used to enjoy lot of things like eaating mirapakaya bajji on a rainy day and fighting for a khala khand(was a costly sweet then for us) with my loving brother and more importantly i used to 'DREAM'.Now i lost those feelings and lost the ability to dream as well.Did i become insensitive?

you rised a good question.
yes, i do feel the way you do.
may be, despite the fact that we r more modernised, i feel the days of my parents are better. true, they might not have financially as sound as we now are, they might have access to allt ht we have now, they might not have this, that and many but, they had one......a sort of divine happiness.
when they talk to me abt their playful chldhood, joyful scholing, the way they would go to old movies, sit in the 'nela ticket', the games they played and all......i feel i miss something....
that may be more in case of some my city bred frens. coz, having been in a town for the first 16 years of life, i was not totally missing the joys of childhood...but, as i began living in the city, i understood that they might have missed more than me....wht do u say?
