Many western historians called him Indian Machiavelli, as they didn't understood the difference between their works.
At the time of chanakya india was divided in to different small countries and the kings were fighting among theselves. it made greeks easy to invade india.
Unlike Machivelli chanakya created empireship in india for the sake of country. he was the kingmaker. after that he spent his life in producing great books like Ardha Sastra and Chanakya neeti.
