A very nice story - really great and touching.
I have few points here:
Even if you love the first wife so much, you can still have the remaining 3 wives too.
A man who has only the first wife, becomes a Saint.

There is a good morale that every one neglects the first wife (soul)and takes crae of fourth wife( lavishness).
Is there a chance that first wife I mean the soul caused him to go for the second there after third and so on. Now she is ready to be there even in the heaven! what a great chance for direct entry to heaven !
