Posted by: Ms. Sowmya V.B. At: 15, Jun 2005 4:59:08 PM IST your attempt to let telugus know about Sarat babu's other story apart from Devdas is appreciable. but this is not a review. u can call it as an 'introduction'.
in reviews phrases like 'Don’t know why' shud not appear. reviewer shud be sure of what he/she reviewing.also, he/she shud be able to explain the merits & follies of the writer.review shud let allow the reader to grasp the storyline analytically.
to make ur review more apealing,
read the story sevral times. everytime u can get a clear and wider picture
discuss the story with other equally interested friends
make a homework
draft it
read the draft several times.rewrite it completely, if required
post that draft which appears to be complete by all means of analysis
Posted by: Mr. Vastav Alok At: 14, Jun 2005 9:06:25 PM IST I didn't read this novel. But anyway Sarat novels are too good to resist. He catch holds of human emotions as such that we can see ourselves. Human nature is the same, no matter how many ages see the dusk and dawn. If possible, try to read all his novels. I forgot the name of a novel. It is made into picture 'Vijaya', Nageswara Rao, Krishnakumari, Chalam, Gummadi are the lead actors. Fathers of ANR, Krishnakumari and Chalam(Gummadi-father) are good friends, out of which Gummadi is cunning. ANR's father get boycotted by the villagers because he weds out of caste. Later he dies. He has to repay some amount which he took as loan from his friend, Krishnakumari's father. ANR is a doctor and he tries to invent a medicine for malaria or something which plagues their village. Chalam loves KK and Gummadi wishes it because of the property of her. But she eventually fell in love with ANR (actually her father promises ANR's father that he would give her daughter to his son - KK is not aware of this fact). But the dialogues b/w KK and ANR is really so good. I love this novel a lot. Movie is also picturised well.
