If your comemnts on Aruna Sandhya werent countered doesnt mean that you are absolutely right and you have a right to talk anything rubbish. When blogging mind your language - first princple. Dont be so mean to bring moms in to the discussion!! And as usual you are missing the point. The comment is not in support of flirting but about the root cause and the resolution - if you cant understand better stand aside.

well well well Not too long ago I made one comment on the story 'Aruna Sandhya' on this same web site. I felt the characterization of the prime male in that story is unrealistic though it may be rare among normal people and especially among 'web readers'... no counter arguments to that. I made a statement that the writer is a whole lot of a feminist and she has no sensitivity to an average male.. No counters once again. SO I AM HERE AGAIN. This story namely 'Murali valla Amma' has no trace of feminism. It just deals with a woman who is strong and who can articulate and practice what she thinks is right. May be because she got it from her past. I guess anyone who has gone through a separation because of those reasons (in the story) has to display that much of conviction in life. If not they would not have come out in the first place at all. So her point of finding fault with murali is absolutely right. Its not feminism. Its not female sensitivity. Its life. If murali wants to flirt with srilatha he is free. He is given the option. He can. If he chooses to do so by divorcing his wife no one including writer has no objection. If all 'web readers' find their wives are not interesting enough they can separate and go with their colleagues who they find interesting. I think the writer has no problem too. But all 'web readers' know that marriage is something you sign up for life, when you do it and how you do it does not matter. If marriage is not working everyone is free to dissolve it. You dissolve it and you flirt and do what ever. No one is bothered. I guess the writer will agree here one more time. BUT WHILE THE MARRIAGE IS INTACT What would your mom do if you flirt with your college with whom you have similar wavelength while you are ignoring your wife? Will she say my son I am proud of you? If so Hats off to you and your mom

I guess we, Indians, are real hypocrites. More than the story, I was really surprised to see the comments appreciating this story but the fact I mentioned in the first line made me realize the reason. Ranganayakamma is from Communist Institution, whose idealogy is no more relevant to the current world. They (Communists) doesnt still realize how much out dated their idealogy is and me elaborating on that is out of context here. She has reiterated her idealogy in many places in this story including her unhappiness in buying the car with a loan or her unhappines about the Office parties etc. She is still not finding the reality of the current world and that even shows in her conclusion to the story. She (Muralis mother aka Ranganaikamma) is also a perverted feminist, she feels that the men are always at fault, even if it's her own son. I think the sole story tries to find fault with the son, but doesn't really try to see the reason behind the issue i.e the reason for his interest in Srilatha. When it comes to his interests in parties and luxaries she conveniently convinced herself, but when came to the matter of his attraction to a girl she thought just like a pure feminist, just blaming the men without seeing the reason. I feel the reason behind Muralis actions are very natual to the present world. In this kind of environment it's not a surprise if one finds attraction to a collegue, because of matching interests, in more technical terms frequency match. The whole reason behind Murali's actions is the frequency matching. The corrective action could be to make Murali as well Rajani understand the mutual interests (e.g. Rajani may try to socialize herself and similarly Murali something else) and should come to a compromising solution. It's a fault to be corrected by both the parties, Murali and Rajani, but not like the solution suggested by Ranganaikamma. Ranganaikamma, as usual suggested a perverted feminine solution to a simple problem. This is what I can feel about this story. Again am really surprised to see the appreciations from the readers, who, being the webreaders can understand the current dyanamics of the society and hence the reasons behind the problem. I request you people just dont' get carried away by Ranganaikamma, she will never change, she always find faults with the other sex. Thanks for reading my comments. Sridhar
