Articles: My Experience | Be born to live as a true Indian | |
| Dear Sharmila ji,
I have read your article and it is definitely a valueble piece of spontaneous and free-flow thought process. Your writings and other articles are really inspiring for one and all. It seems you are a Sai Devotee like me. When we serve in Sai Organisations, we see Sevadal volunteers exercising so much patience and forebearance. Once when we were in Seva in Dehi JN stadium, Sai Baba's visit attracted lakhs of people. Then one young girl slapped an elderly lady who is a Sevadal member with us. Her only mistake was as part of her duty, she just objected one lady who is trying to break the queue. That lady's young daughter slapped this lady who is doing seva. She did not react. She kept quite. So likewise, we sai devotees have to really practice patience with people who sometimes talk without thinking. So, please do not take to heart those comments. You are serving society with your good ideas and ideals. It is worth praise by any socially conscious person. Anyway, congrats once again for your knowledge and your contributions.
Posted by: Mrs. manjari At: 18, Oct 2005 2:41:16 PM IST After reading your comment, I laughed to myself. I kept silent and didn’t respond much. But this is Kali yuga where in ‘Silence’ can be treated as ignorance or acceptance of a mistake. Below is my response.
Let me tell you my favourite quote-
Never argue with a fool; Spectators cannot find the difference.
Despite my belief, I would like to explain something to your mind.
Yours words explain that you don’t seem to think much before you speak.
Frankness is NEVER equal to Hurting. There is always a soft way to speak out.
Also, could you explain what is ‘Natural spice’ in ur terms? What made ur great mind think there is no such natural spice in my writings? I really don’t mind if you don’t find. May be they are not meant for you.
You said you read some of my sentences in some magazines. That’s cool. I am waiting to read those asap because I am sure I didn’t read any magazines. That too living here in USA I do not have access to those magazines. FYI- The only monthly magazine I read is Sanatana Saradhi.
One more thing,
We hear many minds big and little say- Life is an ocean. Row it with the two oars of happiness and sorrow. When we also use the same, does it mean we are copying some one? Nope. It only means it has so much effect on our minds that we tend to use that sentence instantaneously without our effort.
Why can’t I think, some one else copied mine?
Because once I found some lady posting my entire article in Shirdi sai website with my name below it. Likewise, sentences from my articles would have been retold by some one…
Above all, I have been writing quotes and articles since my childhood. Freelance writing is my hobby. I do not stop even for a minute even to think when I start writing any article. This is FYI. I write for American web sites and newspapers too. My writings are the outbreak of my feelings and not of some one else’s. I speak before the Indian gatherings as well as was invited to speak in American Church here in USA. All the above was not to boast of myself but for you to understand.
My conscience didn’t let me explain all this to you but I had to, in order to unfold the truth. Be cautious when you knock at the sensitive side of a being.
May God bless you.
