Articles: My Thoughts | GENEVA DECLARATION | |
| Prasanthi garu,
I don't know what good Sonia's apology did to the Sikh community. I don't believe aswell that a politician's apology will do any good to anybody. An apology would not bringback anything. Apology will have meaning, if they are committed. And regd Pak, do we still need to prove anything extra to the world, what kind of a nation Pak is? I still feel, it would be better if we can help those families in other aspects, which can make difference to them, than bringing in apologies.

I don't agree with your last statement. It is not like a lamb praying for mercy. We just proceed in diplomatic way. Govt. must understand our true intentions. It should value our feelings.
urChinni garu,
Geneva Declaration is something which specifies the rules and regulations on how to treat PoWs. This is all I too know about. How can this helps, for this one has to feel. Why did Sonia express apologise to Sikh community? Why did British Queen express her apology for certain incidents?(Not to us but for to some other country. I do not exactly remember the issue).
It will really help. It is a sign of their misdoings. So World can again know about them. This will help them to get some good name. so they can do that. Even their people can understand what was happened.
We can change people's attitudes, and there by slowly form good relationship and cement it.

But what does a diplomatic apology can do to those families in particular and nation in general. What way this helps out thier families. I am not yet clear. I am not convinced that an apology will do any help, in war.
