The article of yours is excellent. I may not be wrong if I put up the summary like this.
Among all the beings in this Universe, human being is undoubtedly superior one. He knows that his body is tagged with age and beyond that he will not live. He is being taught by his parents, teacher, elders he came accross that you should not talk or do ill of others. like this he learn many more good things during the course of his early part of life.
Yet, knowing fully well he will do what he was told not to do. If he don't do the generation leave him behind. Say, lawyer,Doctor there may be so many examples. The reasons 'Vrutti Dharmam'.
So, Adhyatmika Dharma is applied here will he be able to lead normal life. I think this is the reason that an average person prefers to keep away from Guru.
