| Hi Mrs. Krishan,
In this story (which is just a story) I wanted to tell how the boy gets upset with the things and the place due to his own sad experience. If one is happy and doing well he may or she may not like to go back to India. It is just not Patriotism. Sometimes we feel a kind of solace in a place where you had comfortable life and good memories and atleast your own people to share your feelings and concerns. It is also not always true that only something bad happens, one would like to go back to India. I have seen many people who are really concerned about India and still they stay in USA and other place and contribute their mite through good donations and the recent news about some nice guy (telugu) donating blankets in the college in A.P where students are suffering. This is also patriotism. So, wherever we are, our mind and heart when they work in those dirctions, it is always good. Secondly, it is not necessary that in order to show our patriotism that we should go back. Sitting away from there also we can really serve the country. But here the story is about a small family whose dreams are shattered with unexpected turn of events. In times of stress, we remember we say 'AMMA'. Like that Mother and Motherland will always have a special place in every one's heart. How we reciprocate that feeling depends and varies from case to case. It is not true always that a person having bad or sad experience will prefer to go back to India. He or she may prefer to stay abroad to save his dignity or being ridiculed by his or her people. So, it is individual preference. Anyway, I hope by my story things wont become controversial. My aim is just to express my feelings and concerns seeing day-to-day changes in the society. Anyway, thank you for your comments. Manjari
