Reply from Pragna Maharshi: Thanks for the feedback. Rajni Kanth gaaru, I appreciate your thought-provoking questions. In fact, that is the kind of debate I want to see happen because through such debates we can learn from each other's wisdom and perhaps cause some positive changes around us. The answer to the question, 'how do we get creative ideas?' is following: We need to have a vision and burning passion, commitment and perseverance to achieve that vision. In addition, we need to be always willing to learn from everybody and every time and be ready to take risks despite the failures. We can't expect creative ideas if we are apprehensive about failures and taking risks. If we tread the beaten track or think through the same old patterns, we don't get creative ideas. We need to come out and look at the problems and issues from as many different perspectives as available. I agree with you that majority of the Indians are struggling to eke out a living. In fact, the intention behind Wisdom Services outsourcing concept is to create mass employment to eradicate poverty. In my view, poverty is no hindrance in getting creative ideas. There are thousands of examples of poor people coming up with innovative ideas. Here is one example. An uneducated poor farmer from a remote village in Karimnagar district, who became blind at the age of 40 years, invented a machine that pumps water from deep wells without using electricity. In fact, majority of the inventions happening in India are the result of creative people who are poor and often studied less than 10th class. Inventions made by the so-called scientists, professors, IIT graduates and engineers only account for a tiny minority. As I mentioned in my article, Microsoft spends $7.5 billion annually on R&D, which is the largest amount spent on R&D by any other company on earth. Despite spending such staggering amounts on R&D, Micorsoft is unable to come up with any trend-setting or path-breaking ideas/concepts. What it shows that money is not vital for creativity. If that were true, then every rich person on this world would have come up with creative ideas. Hence, even if our R&D budget is not much, we can still do miracles, if we have the passion to show our creativity. Thanks, Pragna Maharshi

Dear Maharshi, It is agreed by all that creative ideas and concepts are in demand not only in India, but also in the whole world. But the problem is how do we get these ideas? If we can fulfil our primary needs relatively easily, then only we can concentrate on creative ideas. We can treat food, shelter, education, healthcare etc. as primary needs. But in India, most of the people are struggling for their daily bread, then how can we compete in the world for creativity? Previously a man in the family used to earn and sustain his family, but now a days, even if both man and woman earn, they are unable to meet their expenses properly. In these circumstances how do you plan to proceed and infuse creativity in the people? Even now also we do not have many venture capital funds in India. The amount spent by the Indian companies on R&D is very less, then how can we create more ideas?
