Hi Friends,
In the past 60 years 2 and half generations passed with the present approach towards eradicating poverty and caste system in India. We can not say that we have achieved even a 10 % of success. With this rate there is no hope for the next 200 years as the rate of growth of population is also high. There must be a change in the approach.
70 crores of people instead of asking and fighting for some percentage of reservation in few thousands jobs, fight against government to create more scope as someone cited the example of a cake. Instead of going to the govt for whatever they are giving, ask the govt to come to your place (village) for developmental activities. There is lot to do in India for providing basic amenities at root level. There is a huge scope for development and employement. Instead of fighting for this, why are we breaking up on caste system. If we increase the size of the cake we can improve the living standards of the people.
There will always be a difference between earning potentials of a driver and a doctor. Otherwise who wants to become a doctor. We should not compare the quality of facilities and luxuries they and their kids will have. There must be a difference in the status of different blocks of the society which is formed on the basis of demand and supply. They can not be at par. The caste does not play a role to create this difference. The social and economical elements create the difference. This is the fuel for the individual growth.
There are more than 50 % people (who live in colonies and villages) in India who dont know have any idea or have very less idea about the education system. Even if we give reservation to them and try to bring them in to the mainstream society they dont know how to make use of the facilities. Instead Govt can go to their colonies/villages and improve the standard of living. This triggers a change and in 2 to 3 generations time they will come in to the mainstream system. They are intelligent people but they are away from modern society. This is just like comparing Indians with Americans.

Hey what are talking nonsense,take one example here the telugu film actor babumohan is from lower cast but now he had so much that most of the uppercast dont have,but still he and his children able to use the resarvation.iam asking a question is it necessary for him this reservation.not only him today somany from lower cast earned in different ways.on the otherhand in uppercast so many are poor and they dont have any resarvations to use atleast.Think wisely but not about your cast.You are an indian think like that and make india to be proud but not your cast only.

not only that, suppose the donation candidate is not really a merit student, he cannot score good marks in the college. when he comes out he has to struggle, chances are very fair that he might not be able to get a job. coz, he can't pay donation to get the job. Whereas the reservation guy gets the job, even if he scoress less, coz of the reservations. So, how can you compare a donation candidate with a reservation candidate.

We should appreciate last posting, at least one member responding to the issue with civility. Eventhough some of his questions sound picky at times he maintained his calm, focused on the issue without unnecessarily hurting anyone's feelings. I am talking about the previous posting in Telugu.
I disagree with Andhrudu Andhrudu on his far fetched conclusions on inequality in society and thus his support of reservations. Some of the facts of oppression we should accept as a society. Do you think reservations is the only form of unfairness. How about unofficial forms of reservations.
Look at movie field. Its all reserved to some people. Look at corporate colleges. Aren't they reserved for rich. How about CM post. Aren't they reserved for certain families. Not even communities only certain families enjoy them. Look at LIC only one community enjoys authority over it. There is huge cry of domination in colleges too even seating preference based on cast. How about favoritism of Brahmins at Infosys. How about favoritism in hiring policies in Raju based organizations. How about capitation system.
Where is the minimum wage guaratee for the hard work of a Chakali. Can he live decently and afford his kids education with the compensation we offer him. Someone quoting Auto Driver's son. In a country where people are dying out of starvation Auto Driver is a much better situation. Next time people cry foul on the system just see what we can do to the upliftment of really oppressed. Beacuse a good neighbor is good for total welfare of society. Have you seen the living conditions of Yanadulu in our country. They still live in huts and are far far from knowing what the reservations are.

There are no stats to prove any such claims of merit to some. To me such claims do more harm than aid fight against Reservations. Its mostly dominated by certain colleges such as HPS, Ramayya, Narayana etc. Now tell me how the son of a Yanadi making living hunting snakes can pursue his son's admission in Ramayya coaching center. Be fair guys.
Andhrudu's point is as long as these social inequalities exist there is no other solution other than Reservations.
If some people are that smart why they even attend schools. Does it really matter these days where one can fetch education of choice online with any cherished University on the planet. With the number of opportunities available in the country reservations should not be a reason for shouting foul.
I see some people losing tongue on BCs. When is the last time one has seen outpouring support from BCs for a pro reservation movement burning buses and damaging government property. Why such animosity on BCs. Aren't these same people who loved NTR/CBN/YSR as their beloved leaders. Aren't these same people who adore movie stars irrespective of their cast backgrounds.
Do you think every BC in the state making his livelihood on reservations. How about successful entrepreneurs such as MG Brothers, Chandana Bros(not sure about their cast). There are so many. They never attended any of the Engg/Medical colleges. Have you seen a weaver weaving Saree right from the design all the way to thread count. There is lot more technique, math, creativity and skill than you normally see in professors in Engineering colleges. We all need to learn from each other. If the 70% population is left behind then the country is not a developed country.
Respect your fellow citizens first. Then address the issue reasonably.
