The following is the reservation in Andhra
Andhra educational institutes and government jobs: 25% for BCs, 15% for SCs, 6% for STs and 5% to Muslims, total: 51% (proposed)
Reservation for women : 33.33 %
Reservation for Physically Handicapped and others: 7 %
So total 91.33 % for reservation.
Leftout is 8.77 % for General Category. It means even any of the above can also come into this category.
So In a college of 100 seats, If an OC candidate stands below 9th rank then only has a chance (might) to get a seat.
We have lot to do to correct this system. Policy makers and politicians must have right attitude, guts to implement the right policies and people should have right thinking and must not be narrow minded.
Life in India is becoming tough. If we want to become a super power in next 50 years we need to do and change a lot ..i Mean a LOT. Otherwise being in India is a Big Joke :) take it easy friends.
Another option which The Hitler like people might suggest to bring down the problems in India is by expecting Tsunamis around costal areas, and heavy Earth quakes and floods in the central parts of India. Just kidding :).

How many jobs are there in India ? 10 million, ok.. 20 million ?. How many Oppressed caste people are there ? 7 billion, ok lets take 6 billion. How many are eligible for jobs (youth not on education basis). lets take 3 billion. Even If you give all the jobs to them, we can not get desired development in Oppressed people. Where will the remaining people go ? What hads happened is 10 to 15 million SC/ST/OBC candidates benefited by reservation earlier. And now their next generation who can potentially compete are still asking for more reservation. Need to think about it. 70 % SC/ST/OBC laki job lu eppudu vasthayante desamlo minimum 2 billion job lu unnappudu vaarandaru chaduvukunnappudu.

Reservation system is often analysed keeping in view the ' loosers' in mind rather the benefit the ' tergeted beneficiaries ' got. It is seldom viewed as a compromised measure between downtrodden castes and ruling class in eliminating caste system in India. Whoever asks the question of removal of reservations and are uneasy with the reservation policy, should also feel equally irritated about caste system in India and inadeuqate representation of the bakcward castes in all spheres of society - which makes a sensible logic.
The answer what the author tried to give for implementation of reservation system does not address the core objective of reservation system nor provide an aternatice solution to it.
Reservations shoudl not be there !!...yes should not be there....this is shame on every individual who born in sociall oppressed castes and this questions their inidividuality. But every individual who is affected by caste system in India should fight against the caste system and the any steps diluting the measures to combat caste system in India. Thats where the compromise has taken and people have settled for less to reservations. Reservation is a sop demeaning the self respect of oppressed castes in teh process of solidifying the caste system. Of course, this melodrama wont survive for a long time. People will understand the logic of reservations and why often the card is played by the ruling parties.
Meanwhile, lets see under what circumastances the reservations can be removed and what costitutes the logcal base for such removal.[not to mention about reservation for minorities here]
(i) atleast 60-70% of the political seats should be from backward castes inluding SC/ST/OBCs .
(ii) Among all Group I beauracrats, atleast 60-70% people shd be from those socially oppressed castes.
(iii) Among all class IV employees, the representation of SC/ST/OBCs existing at present should also fall by 50-60%.
(iv) The unemployment persisting now in rural and urban SC/ST/OBCs should come down to 5-8% or whatever on par with the Indian average unemployment rate.
(v) The should be atleast 25% of representation from non-socially oppressed castes being victims in women harassment, lock up deaths etc.
(vi) CEOs and CFOs and the top brass of all companies in India including private sector shoudl have atleast 50% of the people from the oppressed castes.
Till this happens, the oppressed castes can keep claiming the benefit of reservations for decades together inluding enjoyment of the benefit of reservations by a section of elite group while, within these oppressed castes, there will be an internal debate about who is to share how much among the oppressed castes.
To reiterate, its not right to view the reservation system from eyes of ' outside loosers' but from the eyes of ' real loosers in the game of reservation system'.
