| Dear Mr. Rajasekhar,
Are you are saying that the FIIs did not breakeven? There is almost 240% increase in sensex for the last two years and the FIIs are the most benefited. But you are saying that the FIIs did not get breakeven.
As far as I understood, Mr. Papa Rao said that the FIIs are dangerous and should be kept out from investing in share market, but you are saying that he is expecting FIIs to pour money in Indian stock market.
Why should the FIIs be given undue advantage compared to an ordinary investor? The FIIs need not pay any tax under the avoidance of double taxation pacts if they are registered in Maritius, whereas the Indians have to shell out taxes as per the Indian laws. It is also said some of the money invested is round tripping of the corruption. i.e. the corrupted politicians and bureaucrats who form FIIs and register them in Maritius invest in Indian markets. That is why the politicians give special tax concessions. The tax concessions may be legal, but they are not moral. This is the opinion of many tax experts.
There is no concern if the FIIs really benefit from the profits earned by the industry. The FIIs can get share in the profits as they have put some investment. But what the FIIs do is speculation. They woo the ordinary investors saying that the fundamentals of the economy are very strong. As the ordinary investors who do not have the specialized knowledge about stock markets think that they should also get some profit in the stock market and invest money after making sure that the prices are rising. As soon as the ordinary investors enter the market, the market crashes and the late investors are the losers. In this way, the stock markets swallowed enormous amounts of money from the gullible public. The government is making ordinary people to be afraid of these speculative dens.
I do not understand why you are supporting FIIs?

Posted by: Mr. Sarma Anantha At: 26, May 2006 11:18:17 PM IST So Mr. Paparao you decided that indian stock market is in crisis due to FII s. You expect FII s should pour their money for your(Indian) market.
Why the hell they have to invest money if there is no break even return. Insted of writing some article with little understanding attached with an emotional concern , I request you to focus more on the fundamentals and dynamics of economy .
Try to create value for our money services . Get educate people more about new winds of globalisation. At the same to stand on the ground with innovative ways of agri product market development.
I would like to know how much you are qualified to write an article like this by throwing a stone of concern of future growth and FII s participation.
This is the problem from our media , we have highly selfish or educated illliterates writing opinions as they wish .
I would like to point out here , fall and raise is common phenomena perticularly in stock markets. This is rapid with respect to time frame where people like you can digest.
If you have the fear for no reasons keep it with you , don't try to spred the bad mouth.
If you have really any resons based on economical figures ...please please tell.
thanks for your opinion
